Fantasy Life is a singleplayer and multiplayer adventure game – very much like an online RPG, you will create a character, choose a job and perform various activities to enrich your characters life. 12 jobs can be selected and changed at anytime including Soldier, Hunter, Miner, Mercenary, Mage, Carpenter, Fisher, Cloth Worker, Cook, Wood Cutter, Blacksmith and Alchemist.

Players will be able to move to and customize their houses during the story with lots of different interior options such as furniture, color, and decorations. To move to bigger and better houses, you’ll need to save your money up as you work and complete quests.

Speaking of quests, you can make a party up to 3 players together to go out into the world, fight monster, perform quests, and gather materials similar to Monster Hunter. Any materials gathered by one player will also be given equally to the other party members.

Trading is also possible with other players. For example, Kanako makes piece of furniture for me, she can leave it in a trading box for me to pick up at anytime. You can also talk to players to trade items.

Fantasy Life seems interesting but also very familiar, taking many elements from various games like Monster Hunter and The Sims, giving players a very lengthy experience with lots to do and a seemingly endless amount of adventure across the 12 jobs available.

Level-5 needs to get to localizing more of their games.

I wouldn’t care as much if they would stop developing so many interesting games on region locked hardware. Stupid Nintendo.

Even if the game looks amazing… It is still on DS, which I do not like at all! :(

No lie when i saw the art i knew what the game was going to be like.

A cartoony-anime RPG with lots of creation/customization involve.
Really dig this type of game.
