Sayuri Sugawara – Open the Gate (2012)

sugawarasayuri

Sayuri Sugawara was probably made widely popular in the west with her work in the Final Fantasy XIII soundtrack including songs “Eternal Love” and “Kimi ga irukara”

As 2012 comes to a close, I don’t want to let her newest album “Open the Gate” to go unnoticed. She has a great singing voice and I really enjoy the energy and feeling in her songs. Enjoy a clip from one of her newest tracks!

Is it bad if, for some reason, I only enjoy this kind of music while playing a game/watching an anime?

Yeah, i know what you mean. It’s hard to explain, but i just get a different “Feeling”. I mean it’s the combination of everything, Music, gameplay, Story etc. which creates the Special atmosphere in games.

But still the song is nice. Very melancholic.

More of a Utada Hikaru fan myself. Would be cool to see more exposure of japanese artists in the US
