Being a student of art, I’ve studied the various techniques, styles and artists from the past to the present who make the unseen imagination in our individual minds come to life for the world to see. It’s always fascinated me and given me a wonderful hobby to follow ever since I was a young child.
Figures, Statues, Models, whatever you want to call them have always been my favorite above all. 2D paintings and drawings are great and I love doing both in my spare time. But nothing excites me more than seeing a physical representation, in the form of a 3D object for me to walk around, see from different angles and maybe even touch. Museums are a fantastic place to go see amazing art and once in Tokyo, Kanako and I went to the most amazing art display made of bones!
So when it comes to games, manga and animation, figures of the characters is my ultimate collectible. Back in the USA, I have several boxes full of all kinds of figures that I couldn’t bring with me here before but will someday return with me here after a visit sometime. In the meantime, I’ve been keeping my eye open for some really nice figures and so far, my collection is pretty good. Here are a few of the figures I collected in 2012!
Oh i really love the model of Yoko. But also really digging the gundam wing (did you recolor it or is that just me. looks like there’s a layer on it) and the EVA 02.
I have a feeling i should know what those white “things” are and they feel familiar but hell i have no idea haha.
All these figures look awesome!! Wing Zero EW and the Monster Hunter with Barioth armor caught my eye so I’ll need to see if I can get some dollars to get those for myself.
Also that bone art looks incredible! They looked like dragons when I first saw them!
Big Boss looks EPIC! I got it with the green camouflage uniform from MGS3 but the battle armor looks great too. Also where are the other figures from? I know the robot is from Gundam (don’t know the name, I’ve never seen Gundam) but I don’t recognize the others.
is there a particular brand/company of figures you like? you know like revlotech over good smile etc
Not really a brand follower for figures. I just get whatever looks good and doesn’t cost a fortune for. XD

i wanna some really high quality figures, but it’s need to order and our mail service is FFKING careless they definitely smash it. :O
Can’t speak for your country of course. But over here (netherlands) they send the box in a bigger box with all sort of cushioning materials between them. So you could play soccer with them for example. This of course is a service from the shop (have the same experience with imports from JP) not the postal service.

That running pose for Yoko is awesome. Getting figures where I live seems like it would cost me an arm and a leg so I usually have to pass, but dammit if I don’t think about going on some nerd bender and buying up a bunch toys.
